Create a calendar
Name it for the year — "2026 Calendar" — and set how many days together you're aiming for.

Invite your person
They get an email with a link. New to Longander? The link is their signup. Already here? It just joins them.

Plan the year
Click any day to set where each of you is and add flights, times, confirmation numbers and cost.

Copy it forward
When the year turns, copy the calendar into the next one. The plan carries; last year's money doesn't.

Before you start
- What does Longander do?
- Longander is a shared calendar for couples in different cities. You plan where each of you will be on each day of the year, add the flights between, and it calculates how many days you'll spend together, how many apart, how long you each spent in each place, and how the cost of the flights is split between you.
- Can I import the spreadsheet I already use?
- Yes. Download the CSV template from any calendar, paste your existing plan into it, and upload it back. Longander reads dates in ISO, US, and written formats, strips currency symbols from costs, and treats YES as purchased. It shows you exactly what it read before anything is saved.
- How does it split the cost of flights?
- Every flight cost you enter joins a shared pool, along with any shared costs you log by hand. The pool is split evenly, and each person's balance is what they've paid minus their share. Longander then shows the smallest set of payments that would even you out.
- Can I plan more than one year?
- Yes. Calendars are per year, and any calendar can be copied into a new year. Locations and events carry over so you start from your usual pattern; flight purchases and the accounting ledger do not, so the new year opens with a clean balance.
- Who can see my calendar?
- Only the people on it. Every request between your browser and the server is sealed with per-request encryption on top of TLS, and access to a calendar's data is checked against its member list on every call.
